Your beautifully designed books arrived in the mail a few weeks ago. Thought I'd get right to them, but then life happened. Today I was naughty and read your last book first. The title caught me and I sat with it for over an hour. I really like your writing, Bud. Very revealing. Inspires me to ponder my own life which I often forget to do. It is time for me to be thinking about death and, therefore, life, and what this time on earth, this amazing gift, is/was all about. I like that sometimes your poems don't tell all and so there is mystery and it is somewhere between the specificity and the mystery that the truth and the story live. I love learning more about your youth.  We share the beauty and brutality of living in the countryside. Thank you.  I will now go back to the beginning.
