Some Performance Notes

Fifty people joined us for our performances on December 8 and 9, 2007. The Centene Center for the Arts is a wonderful space with good lighting, sound, and allowing everyone to be near Carol Kaplan-Lyss and me for the concert.

The poetry, music, and pictures all worked and talked to each other. It was an exhilarating experience for Carol and me and we got really good feedback from those who attended. Our whole team did a terrific job bringing it all together.

We want to do it again and will post additional performances on this site. A question arises: how does one market this concert? It’s more than a poetry reading. It’s a performance. Is it theatre? Could one call it performance art? How does one package what we do so it seems attractive and accessible to a wider audience?

We have a CD of the performance as well as a DVD. If you are interested, please contact me.
